OKLAHOMA RANCH – Residential

No one knows who first discovered the natural springs and geysers here.  It’s said that the Cherokee knew about them for hundreds of years and that they believed that others before them knew of this place as well.  There are rock formations here and there that appear manmade.  Some say that these formations mark special places.  Some even look like they may have marked ancient entrances to underground caves or caverns.

At times the ground rumbles and then roars as an ancient geyser bursts into the air as the warm mist settles into surrounding ponds where there are slippery rock slides that have water flowing over them from artesian springs feeding the ponds.  These slides could be natural, but there are those who believe they could have been manmade.  Either way it doesn’t matter, because they’re great fun for all who visit and enjoy these water features.  There are artifacts here and there left by those who have come before.  Dinosaur bones have been discovered along with ancient arrowheads and rock carvings, and other evidence of the pre-Columbian native inhabitants who found this area, and its fresh water and hot springs, a good place to live.
